The art of colour blocking

Let us get straight to it. We are going to talk about color blocking and the unique fashion sense it portrays.

Color blocking has now become the norm. Gone are the days when certain colors would not be slayed together while certain colors were considered non-matching.

Today it’s amazing how you can combine red and yellow, red and green, green and yellow name it and still look fabulous. That didn’t seem to work many well decades ago.

Let’s talk about my pink and black outfit. That’s lighter version of pink if I’m not wrong. We got many colors than you can ever imagine. The likes of pitch, jungle green, violet, indigo, lime among others. Therefore mistaking one color for another is a common thing, especially for the men. Once upon a time,a male colleague couldn’t tell the difference between red and green. It was so hilarious that we ended up laughing about it for the rest of the week.

This dress an outfit for many occasions, be it a wedding, birthday party, baby shower, dinner date; this dress can serve many purposes.

I’ve had this dress for close to two years now. I love the fact that it’s very comfortable. No need to tuck in your tummy with this kind of an outfit. It’s goes slightly above the knee. For the conservative ones, you can choose to wear very light black stockings under this outfit. Otherwise if you don’t mind showing your beautiful legs, then girl you gotta rock it as it.

This dress goes well with either heels, flat shoes or sneakers, whichever you settle for. The colour blocking of light pink and black just brings out the total fabulous girly look. Someone may mistake it for a skirt and top but no it’s a dress.

Try color blocking two of your favorite colors and you’ll be amazed at the outcome. If you are not too sure of the color to pick, go for one of your favorite colors and pair it with black. With black you can never go wrong.
